Why are so many people afraid or even against Network marketing? One of the reasons is that it was never taught in school to be viable business opportunity, nor were we taught to look for opportunities. As a matter of fact, in school we were taught to get good grades so that we can look for a “good job”. Then we ended up working for those people who looked and took advantage of, you guessed it, opportunities!
Network Marketing is simple, sometimes it’s called Multi-Level marketing (MLM), sometimes it’s called Direct Sales, sometimes its called Referral Marketing but either way you are basically referring someone to a product and they can purchase that product and/or become a distributor to sell the product.
Did you know that many of the top income earners around the world are part of the network marketing industry? Go ahead and Google top income earners in MLM and you’ll be surprised at the monthly income that some are earning. Will everyone be a top earner? No, but isn’t that the case for every industry? The good news is, there’s room at the top for everyone. What you put in, is what you get out…and then some. The then some is that you get to leverage the time and talents of other people!! Similar to how the CEO leverages the time and talent of all of his or her workers.
Also, in this industry, you don’t need all of the credentials to do it. Everyone is on the same playing field. I had to go through 4 1/2 years of engineering school to become an electrical engineer but here everyone starts out the same. Even with no college degree you can earn a six figure income and beyond income.
I love dispelling the myths. Trust me, I know you don’t want to hound your family and friends or chase people around to try to convince them to do something that they don’t want to do… You don’t want to have to lie to people about a particular product. I don’t want you to do any of that either because I definitely wouldn’t. That’s why it’s so important to choose a product that everyone uses, that everyone wants, and that everyone will ask you for and so far travel has proven to be it!!
Never in a million years did I think I would end up in network marketing. Being an engineer by trade, I spent 20 years in corporate America and yes I always wanted to do something entrepreneurial but in the past I had been approached by many in network marketing and my answer had always been “NO”! I was actually that negative Nancy that a lot of people in network marketing encounter today… until I found a company that was poised for significant growth, had a product that I loved, and was online so I didn’t have to haul product around in my car or store it in my basement!! Also, I didn’t want to feel like a salesperson, I just wanted to share an amazing business and tell people how it helped me.
If you love your job this is simply a way to earn additional income. If you hate your job (like I did) this is a way to build up income to replace your current income. If you have your own business but it’s just not generating enough income, this is a way to supplement that income without interrupting what you are doing. People are looking for new opportunities EVERY DAY and when you expose them to yours, it’s a WIN-WIN situation.
In Network Marketing, people are typically looking for 3 things: TIME FREEEDOM, FINANCIAL FREEDOM, and PERSONAL FREEDOM. Thanks to this industry I was able to trade in those migraines of Corporate America, for airplanes! I have total control of my time, I earn residual income, which is a wonderful thing because in an up economy or even in a down economy, the residual continues to flow into my household and I am my own boss.
The face of network marketing has truly changed, it is more professional and much more regulated than in the past. In my company, you will receive a 1099 at the end of the year that you can take to your tax professional because you have a legitimate online business where you can profit from anywhere.
If you choose Network Marketing (or it chooses you) make sure the investment is low with a high potential ROI. Find a great company with a product that you and the rest of the world loves… and get a phenomenal coach or mentor. With that combination the sky is the limit! The proven system is already in place and all you have to do is be consistent. Now that I understand it, I realize Network Marketing is the absolute best vehicle that I could have to help me change so many lives around the world including my own. This is why I love Network Marketing!
